get to know your guide

“An” grew up in San Francisco and was first introduced to the outdoors at the age of sixteen. He started with camping trips with his high school, but has since dabbled in various forms of outdoor appreciation: working on trail crews, organic gardening,  NOLS & Outward Bound courses, and working customer service at REI. Most recently, he is KMAC’s Summer 2017 Intern.

“An” started climbing at Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, Maine. Since then, he’s climbed in central Arizona, Yosemite, the High Sierras, Joshua Tree, and Peru. When he’s not climbing, he is working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Human Ecology with concentrations in Outdoor Education and Sustainable Business. And when he is doing neither, you will probably find him singing.
