The Stanley Tour (formerly Ghost & History Tour)

Guests will experience history on a 90-minute walking tour around the Stanley Hotel property which provides a glimpse into the past and present of the Stanley Hotel. You will learn about F.O. and Flora Stanley while walking the grounds seeing the Concert Hall and our Stanley Steamers, a walk-through of the hotel itself including some of the ballrooms, the connection of our history to the paranormal, our underground tunnel and the Archives of the Stanley Hotel featuring historic artifacts!

Please note:

  • Max 20 people
  • No children under 5 years old, including infants being carried
  • No dogs allowed on tour
  • NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED
  • Advance Reservations are required!
  • This is a walking tour that will spend a fair amount of time outdoors, please come prepared
  • Formerly known as the Ghost & History Tour
  • We do not feature guest rooms on the tour

The Stanley Tour is very popular! Reservations are strongly recommended at least one week in advance to guarantee a specific time.

Night Ghost Tour

Always wanted to learn about the paranormal activity of the Stanley Hotel? This is the tour for you! It is a two-hour night tour that begins with an introduction into what paranormal activity is, the different types of paranormal phenomenons, and experiences that we have at the Stanley Hotel. From there we will go to to our Concert Hall which is the most “active” building of the Stanley Hotel to do a “lights out” ghost adventure.

  • Max 25 people
  • No children under 10 years old, including infants being carried
  • No dogs allowed on tour
  • NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED
  • Advance Reservations are required!

Paranormal Investigations (Ghost Hunt)

The Paranormal Investigations (Ghost Hunts) will take you to some of the most haunted places on property searching for paranormal experiences! Participants must be at least 18 years old to participate. Investigations lasts for approximately 5 hours and dates are posted by the 15th of the month for the following month's Investigations.

  • Max 30 people
  • No children under 18 years old, no exceptions
  • No dogs allowed on tour
  • NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED
  • Advance Reservations are required!
  • This is a five-hour long ghost hunting experience! Bring an open-mind and be prepared to have fun!

Tickets are $60 per person

Ghost Stories

Our ghost stories provide guests with the opportunity to hear all about the haunted rooms of the Stanley Hotel and the paranormal activity that has happened within! The history of these rooms will be associated with some of the stories. This is fun for the entire family and all ages are welcome!

Tour Reservations

Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Our hotel tours are open to the public.

Private Tours & Parties

Private tours are available for booking Sunday through Thursdays for The Stanley Tour only. A private tour is for up to 20 people per time booked and a max of two time bookings in a day. The price to book a private tour time is $350. For more information please contact the tour office at 970-577-4111.

Special Private Tour promotion through the end of April 2013. Private Stanley Tours will be offered at $250 per tour time - a discount of 30%! Standard rules apply and bookings must be made 10 days in advance.

Parking

Please note that a $5 parking fee applies for all visitors. Guests that take a tour will receive a $5 ticket credit at the tour office.
